About Me

My name is Thomas Cooper. I’m a network analyst from Toronto, Canada, currently working in the banking and financial industry. I’m focused primarily on enterprise LAN & WAN. I dabble a bit in data center switching, WLAN, security, virtualization and storage. I take a vendor-agnostic view and as such, I’ve worked on kit from Cisco, Juniper, Brocade and Arista. A bit of Aruba wireless and BNT switches for good measure too. I am an active CCNP/CCIP, JNCIS-ENT and BCNP. Current certification pursuits include CCIE R&S and JNCIS-SEC.

When I’m not buried in CLI and fiber cable, I play guitar, listen to an wide variety of music, read lots, and hang out with my nerd-in-training son. It keeps me sane (somewhat).
